Brad Pedersen is an award-winning entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor, author, and coach with more than 30 years of experience building and scaling companies.

In 2008, he founded one of Canada’s leading toy companies, later merging it to co-found Basic Fun, the company behind iconic brands such as Lite-Brite, Tonka, and Care Bears.

After exiting that venture, Brad went on to co-found Pela, a sustainable smart device protection company that helped create a new product category in the $20B phone protection industry and attracted interest from globally recognized figures including Jay-Z.

In 2021, Brad and the team at Pela launched Lomi, the world’s first electronic kitchen composter. The product raised a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign and helped shape the emerging Smart Waste category.

Brad is also the author of Startup Santa, a book that shares lessons from his entrepreneurial journey and explores what it means to move beyond traditional achievement toward a more connected and purposeful life.
